Monumental 11-Foot Round Brazilian Rosewood Dining Table by Edward Wormley for Dunbar, 1950
This stunning dining table features striking star pattern at the center which reflects the form of the base raised on six hexagonal legs with cross stretchers meeting in center. It is composed of five parts: one half-base assembled, two half-base components, and two table tops, all built on-site for seamless installation. The table will include six custom pull-out trays.
This table comfortably seats 16 guests.
The original finish has been meticulously preserved with a hand-rubbed, high-gloss shellac polish.
Having been stored in our warehouse for over 20 years, we’ve decided to restore and exhibit this exceptional piece exclusively at the SF Fall Show. Prior it was hidden in an Bay Area antique dealers workshop for 30-40 years.
Notes: Underneath the table are the original aluminum tracks for pull-out trays which were missing. The trays will be rebuilt. Bases consists of solid rosewood legs, cross stretchers solid rosewood and secondary woods.
